Talc powder is an industrial raw material of magnesium silicate minerals, which is made by directly crushing natural talc ore (raw material of talc powder) sorted according to purity grade. The common fineness levels of talc powder include 325 mesh, 400 mesh, 600 mesh, 800 mesh, 1250 mesh to 10000 mesh. Talc powder is usually packed in woven bags and composite paper bags. Talc has the physical and chemical properties such as low hardness, lubricity, fire resistance, acid resistance, insulation, high melting point, chemical inactivity, good hiding power, softness, good luster, and strong adsorption. Talc powder is mainly used in plastics, rubber, paper making, paint and coating, chemical filler and rubber products anti-sticking agent and other industries.

The talc powder specially used for SMC FRP molding products has a high cost performance ratio. It retains the lamellar structure and hydrophobic property of talc, making the products have good waterproof performance and rigidity.
