Talc powder is an industrial raw material of magnesium silicate minerals, which is made by directly crushing natural talc ore (raw material of talc powder) sorted according to purity grade. The common fineness levels of talc powder include 325 mesh, 400 mesh, 600 mesh, 800 mesh, 1250 mesh to 10000 mesh. Talc powder is usually packed in woven bags and composite paper bags. Talc has the physical and chemical properties such as low hardness, lubricity, fire resistance, acid resistance, insulation, high melting point, chemical inactivity, good hiding power, softness, good luster, and strong adsorption. Talc powder is mainly used in plastics, rubber, paper making, paint and coating, chemical filler and rubber products anti-sticking agent and other industries.

Fine talc powder can be used as an inorganic nucleating agent to achieve nucleating effect with organic nucleating agents and improve HDT temperature.
After being used in polypropylene, talc powder regulates the crystallization behavior of polypropylene, greatly reducing the crystal size of polypropylene, thereby reducing the haze and improving the transparency. At the same time, talc powder can improve the rigidity, thermal deformation temperature, rigidity and heat transfer temperature of polypropylene. The product meets the requirements of FDA, ROHS and other regulations, and complies with the regulation that talc powder must be free of asbestos (IARC lists "the talc containing asbestos" as a carcinogen)
